The Environment and You

It's time for change. We all know it but few do anything about it. We are all familiar with terms like solar system, solar panel, solar energy, solar power, and solar cell but most of us don't have any idea how to make these renewable energy sources work for us and save us money. It's time to join the global effort to change the environment. Let us show you how to take a simple, cost effective step to use solar technology and save money. Solar powered attic fans can provide energy savings that pay for your cost over a short period of time. The Federal government offers a 30% tax credit which works like a rebate. State and local governments as well a your energy provider all offer additional incentives. Green Leaf

Simple Change - Simple Savings

Most attics have vents but they do not move super-heated air out and cooler air in. Attic temps usually exceed outdoor temps by as much as 20 degrees. By keeping your attic space as cool as possible you can save money. Green Leaf
Why our products work and others don't:

It's easy to understand why current systems don't work. They don't move enough air and they only operate during peak sunlight. In order to equalize attic temps to ambient temps you must move air at a rate of 1500cfm for an average attic space and the system must operate beyond peak sunlight hours. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that heat can spontaneously flow from a higher-temperature region to a lower-temperature region, but not the other way around. In the case of turbine vents you can easily observe this law. Even when the wind is not blowing the turbine fans are moving. The super heated air in the attic space is spontaneously flowing from a higher-temperature region (attic space) to a lower-temperature region (ambient space). Although super heated air is flowing out of your attic space it's not flowing enough to decrease temps in your attic to ambient temps. Even with a steady 40MPH wind these vents will not move enough air. Existing solar powered attic fans use only 15W solar panels and they only operate during peak sunlight. They are not even as efficient as turbine systems. In order to see significant savings on your power bill you must move super heated air out and ambient air in at a steady rate of at least 1500CFM for an average attic space and the system must operate for several hours after peak sunlight.. If you cool that air before you move it inside, you will see even greater savings. Solar Attic Fans
